A = It’s another of Service’s entertaining poems. I think the woman did the shooting. Q = How far is it to the Hoover dam from downtown Vegas? A= It’s a half hour or more, but the road is clear & traffic is decent. Q = Can’t figure why your head is in the goat head? Your wife's smarter than you. Q = I played basketball in Seattle several times. Saw nothing of the things in your videos. I saw only the space needle but never went up. A = Maybe you played too much basketball. Q = Where does the word Inuit come from? Are they the same as Eskimos? A = Eskimo is the old derogatory term meaning “eaters of raw meat”. (I guess like sushi eaters today!). Inuit is the modern term meaning “we, the people”. In the U.S. & Alaska the term “Eskimo” is still common. In Canada, the term “Eskimo” has been replaced with “Inuit” for a decade or more. Q = Maybe he’s smarter than you think. He tried to get his wife to follow the polar bear tracks first. Q = Do they charge to ride your bike on the rail trail out by Hoover dam? A = No. Q = Where are the Panama videos? A = They’re coming. They are made & on a schedule to get posted in the near future. Q = Are all the prehistoric sites on paved roads? A = Yes, except one. Chaco. It’s not far, but I’d still start on a full gas tank. Road is ok if it is dry, which usually it is. Q = I never heard of the British beating the U.S. like you say in those Quebec videos. Is that really true? A = Maybe you’ve been reading the wrong history books. Facts are facts. Q = How safe is it to drive in Vegas? A = Wide streets make it good. Parking is the problem with a big rig. We park far away & take a bus to the strip. Q = Better yet-fly in and stay in a hotel downtown! Q = How long does it take to drive to Alaska? A = Depends where you start from? How long per day do you want to drive? How fast do you drive? Roads are 2 lane & paved. Plan on at least 3-4 days. Take your time & enjoy the scenery. |
