About UsDon Barnett’s varied and rich life experiences are reflected in his travelogues I Go Travel With Don Barnett. Raised in a single room houses prior to electricity or indoor plumbing, his twelfth year in grade school was his tenth different school. As a young man he worked on the railway section line, a telephone lineman, and tour guide to the Yukon and Alaska. Later work experiences included host for a local historical TV show, teacher, professor, and housebuilder. His farm background includes owning horses and raising and processing cattle, sheep, hogs, and chickens. He received a B.Ed and M.Ed from the University of Calgary and a doctorate from Temple University in Philadelphia. He has authored and edited textbooks, newspaper columns, and academic journal articles.
